Ian was born in Pingelly and began his working life as an engineer. This career path was short circuited by an accident which eventually brought him to becoming a chiropractor. His keen eye for trouble shooting was to be a testimony for what seems a completely different line of work nut in theory, translates well.

Ian studied in Melbourne at the Phillip Institute (now Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology, RMIT) and attend every workshop & seminar to learn other techniques linked with the nervous system over and beyond Chiropractic. This is where he became trained in Kinesiology and uses this technique to find problems in the body through the muscles.

He was registered in Victoria in 1987 and graduated in 1988 with a Meritorious Service Award and has been a practicing chiropractics for almost 30 years. When people experience treatment with Dr Messenger they automatically understand his traits of perfectionism, trouble shooting, the thorough assessments he offers and his meritorious service. Before settling in Perth with his family in 2001, Ian worked in Toorak, East Keilor and Sunbury,Port Hedland, Newman, Broome, and Karratha. Ian’s multi faceted skills set includes a variety of techniques, including (but not limited to):

Dr. Zac Strom

Chiropractor

Zac is a Murdoch University graduate and utilises the best research evidence when working with patients. He is most interested in managing musculoskeletal spinal pain involving the neck, mid back, low back and sciatic irritation. He is also at home managing all range of sport related injuries. Zac has been working with sporting clubs over the past 3 years, managing injuries and facilitating rehabilitation. Zac is interested in the influence chiropractic adjustments can have on athlete performance.

Joana Niere headshot

Joana Niere

Remedial Massage Therapist

At Complete Care Health - Maddington, Joana works with patients of all walks of life to craft custom, focused massages to help them feel better and heal better.

Joana joins our team holding a Cert 4 in Massage Therapy Practice asa well as a Diploma in Remedial Massage. Her unique schooling also gave her insight into sports-oriented massage as well as trigger point release techniques and PNF stretching, chair massage and pregnancy massage. In 2015, she had the exciting opportunity to attend the EveryWoman Expo as volunteer masseuse over the course of two days, interacting with incredible people and offering rewarding care.

For her, one of the best parts about being a massage therapist is seeing the relief she brings patients after an appointment-“when they arrive in pain and leave smiling, you know you’ve done your job well.” One of her ultimate goals in massage is to help relieve pain of terminally ill patients.

Joana is able to help patients of all walks of life experience the benefits of massage, and loves how versatile the profession is, as her skillset allows her to be of service to people all over the world.

Outside of the practice, Joana enjoys spending time with friends and playing games. She’s currently studying for the N2 level of the Japanese Language Proficiency test and enjoys travelling as well as most things creative.

Keiran Jackson

Remedial Massage Therapist

To prepare for his career in massage therapy, Keiran graduated from SouthMetro TAFE (Murdoch) in December 2019. Kind and caring, he is passionate about helping clients to meet their goals. While Keiran focuses on the issues that bring clients in, he look at the big picture to enable patients live healthy, pain-free lives.

Keiran is always looking to upskill and looks forward to expanding his repertoire of massage techniques.

Liane Pinstaar

Liane

Remedial Massage Therapist

For Liane, the most fulfilling aspect of her job is seeing the great results that clients get. “I like working with my hands and helping people. It makes me love my job seeing happy and grateful faces after the massage session.”

To prepare for her career, Liane earned her diploma from the Australian College of Sport and Fitness.

“For each client, I look at the whole body to see what might cause the pain. I do my best to eliminate it and advise the client what they should do, so that the problem doesn’t return.” Liane uses different combinations of techniques, depending on each client’s needs. These methods include

  • Deep tissue
  • Trigger pointing
  • Cupping
  • Stretching
  • Joint mobilisation or myofascial release

Liane likes to help clients with any issue, but her strongest area is working on neck and shoulders and relieving stress/anxiety. She is currently taking an Energy Healing course, and is interested in healing any body issues naturally by using herbs, body work and emotional work.

When she’s not at the practice, Liane enjoys getting out of the city on weekends and being in nature. She meditates daily and goes for early morning runs. A former athlete in Estonia, Liane won many championships in long jump and triple jump there. In 2009, she won the European Championships in the triple jump (junior class).

Leelo Yang headshot

Leeloo Yang

Physiotherapist

Leeloo graduated from Curtin University (Bentley, Western Australia), and has been a keen member of the Complete Care Health - Maddington team since 2019. She finds it rewarding to help patients get relief from their pain and help for their injuries.

During her undergraduate studies, Leeloo worked closely with remedial massage therapists from different cultural backgrounds, and evaluated and addressed musculoskeletal issues with a clinical approach.

Just like our other practitioners, Leeloo is confident in providing acute and ongoing care for patients with Chronic Disease Management, Motor Injury Insurance, Workers’ Compensation, and National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS).

Leeloo is particularly interested in managing peripheral pathologies. These include tennis and golfer’s elbow, subacromial bursitis, rotator cuff tendinopathy, gluteal tendinopathy, and patellofemoral pain syndrome. She can also address traumatic or overuse injuries to the hand and foot, and other sports or work-related injuries.

Additionally, Leeloo’s interest in human pathophysiology extends into women’s health issues, prenatal and postnatal care, and pelvic floor dysfunctions. She developed interest in these areas thanks to her time at Women’s Health Clinics, Sir Charles Gairdner Hospital, as well as her training with the Australian Physiotherapy and Pilates Institute (APPI).

Leeloo has the following qualifications:

  • Bachelor of Science (Physiotherapy)
  • APPI Pilates Matwork Level 1-3
  • APPI Pilates Equipment Level 1-4
  • Acupuncture and Dry Needling
  • Mental Health First Aid (MHFA)

Clinical Nutritionist (part time)

Nancy has a Bachelor in Health Science from Endeavour College of Natural Therapies (Nutritional Medicine) and is also a member of the Australian Natural Therapists Association. She can treat a wide variety of health related issue that are affected (or caused) by food and help people live healthier lives.
Nancy’s approach to treatment is to see “Food as Medicine” as well as taking into account people’s environmental, emotional and physical health to treat the person as a whole and make lasting, positive changes.

Treatment can include food diary management, food intolerance identification and management, meal plans, education and offer support making changes to her patient’s diet.

She can treat a wide variety of medically identified health issues including:

  • Identify nutrient deficiencies
